Calling all MMVS Singers! Level 1 Contest!

How close are you to becoming a Level 1 MMVS singer? Some of you are verrrrry close...
The first student to achieve Level 1 status will receive:
* One free hour voice lesson in Fairfield
* Free admission to one MMVS workshop
* Two performance pieces (as opposed to one) in the winter recital
How to play:
1. Post which items from the Level 1 checklist you have already completed to the blog.
2. Post which items you are going to work on EVERY WEEK.
3. You can email me your definitions and descriptions for the words you're supposed to learn.
4. Show me your scales and other accomplishments at the beginning of each lesson.
5. Post any additional questions right HERE!

ReplyDeletemy accomplishments.
1. I have been practicing and i have 3/5 song projects done, I need the diagram on the diaphragm and the larynx, i have defined resonance and registration, I understand time signatures whole vs half and identifying notes on both tenor and bass clefs. I have been working my butt off on practice
2. I have been posting atleast 3-5 times a week
3. Im gonna email those to you ASAP
4. Wednesday i will show you my knowlage on whole and half and everything else i know how to do

ReplyDeleteI am going to work on alll the anatomical parts of the check list and learn the minor scale pattern anddd learn "he shall feed his flock", so i can sing it for you:)

It's a checklist of skills and knowledge designed to take your musical study to the next level. Song projects, basic music theory, practice assignments and the anatomy of singing are all covered.

I just learned the Minor scales im missing and have just finished the first song progets... one to go kiddies..
ReplyDeleteI just started to work on "Don't Know Why" by Norah Jones as my Jazz piece. But I'm still working on all my other songs too. I'm also taking more time to practice piano.
